How to burn
YouTube videos to a DVD disc
so they will play on your
TV's DVD player.

And how to make mulitple copies
to share with friends and family.

With this method, you can download YouTube videos (be sure you have permission) and burn them to a DVD disc that will play on your TV's DVD player.

You can put several videos on the SAME disc.
When you put the disc into your DVD player, you'll get a menu so you can choose which video you want to watch.

STEP 1 - GETTING A PROGRAM THAT WILL DOWNLOAD A YOUTUBE VIDEO TO YOUR COMPUTER:

If you don't have a way to download a YouTube video, go to this website and download this forever-free program:

Use the backarrow to return to this page.
Xilisoft Download YouTube Video

Save this program to your desktop and run the installation setup, chosing the default options.

Once installed, open the program and let it sit open on your desktop for a moment.

STEP 2 - DOWNLOADING THE YOUTUBE VIDEO(S) TO YOUR COMPUTER:

Open your browser and go to YouTube.com
Find the video you want to download.

Copy the URL of this video into your clickboard (by highlighting the URL and pressing the ctrl and "c" keys at the same time).

Go back to the YouTube Download program on your desktop.

Click on the downward gray arrow in the upper left corner.

Paste the URL into the "URL:" box (by pressing the ctrl and "v" keys at the same time).

Chose "Start Now".
Click OK

Notice the little bar that shows the progress of the download.
Take note of where the video is being stored on your computer.
Mine automatically goes into the Documents/Xilisoft/Download-Youtube-Video folder.

If you want to put more than one YouTube video onto your disc, repeat this step until all the videos are in the folder on your computer.

STEP 3 - GETTING A PROGRAM THAT WILL BURN ONE OR MORE YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO A DVD DISC:

Now you need a second program that will burn these videos to disc.

Go to this website to purchase and download the Xilisoft DVD Creator6 program.
This program comes with free help from HUMANS, so if you have any problems or questions, they are there to walk you through.

Click here for Xilisoft DVD Creator6

Save this program to your desktop and run the installation, choosing the default options.

STEP 4 - CHOOSING WHICH DOWNLOADED VIDEOS YOU WANT ON THE DISC:

Open the DVD Creator6 program.

Click on "File" in the upper left corner.
Then choose "Add videos"

You will see BROWSE, which you'll use to select the videos from your folder.

Repeat this step for every video you want to be burned onto your DVD disc.

Be sure to pick the videos in the order you want to watch them.
The menu on the finished DVD will show the videos in the order you pick them now.

STEP 5 - BURNING THESE VIDEO(S) TO A DVD DISC:

Put a blank DVD disc into the DVD drive of your computer.
I use DVD-R.

Near the bottom of the Creator6 screen, give your DVD disc a name by entering something into the "Volume" box, such as Alex Jones on Climategate.

Make sure the "Destination" box starts with the letter of your drive.
Mine is E:

Look at the box in the upper right corner.
You should see all your videos displayed as little squares.
This is what the menu will look like on your TV.
You can change the background color, if you want to.

Click on the Burn Button (the picture of the DVD on fire).

STEP 6 - TESTING AND LABELING YOUR DVD VIDEO DISC:

When the program is finished, the drive should open.

Test the DVD in your DVD player.
You should be able to use your remote control to view the various videos you put on your disc.

Use a thin-point permanent marker to label your disc.

If you want to make several identical copies like this disc, place another blank DVD into your drive and click on the Burn Button again.

WHOSE VIDEOS CAN YOU DOWNLOAD?:

Alex Jones, Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano are just a few of the people who put up YouTube videos that you can download, put on discs, watch on your TV or computer, and give copies away.

If there are other videos you want, but are not sure if the video maker allows you to copy them, contact the video owner for permission.
